North Carolina and Miami have met every season since the Hurricanes joined the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2004. UNC took a 12-11 edge in the all-time football series against Miami with a 45-42 victory in 2021, and the Tar Heels have won three in a row over the Hurricanes.
