"I had one of the best role models [in Dean Smith]," Vanderbilt coach Jerry Stackhouse said. "He always operated with class. He always made sure the players received the accolades. He always deflected praise from himself. He was an unbelievable role model from a coaching standpoint. From an X's and O's standpoint, I still go back to his teachings." (Inside Carolina)
