Tyler Nickel and Seth Trimble will contribute as freshmen. Trimble, brother of former UNC basketball player J.P. Tokoto, displayed his fraternal similarities with a soaring, two-handed dunk. Nickel staked his claim to quality minutes with a pair of three-pointers. The development of Trimble and Nickel would give UNC depth at guard it missed last season.
