The Tar Heels had four assists, fewest since it had four in a double-overtime loss to Texas A&M in the 1980 NCAA Tournament. Pete Nance led UNC with two assists. Armando Bacot had nine rebounds and has 1,010 in his career. He passed Brad Daugherty (1,003) and Mitch Kupchak (1,006) to move into eighth place in Tar Heel history in rebounds.
