Virginia Tech’s secondary faces biggest test to date

Is Virginia Tech’s defensive secondary flawed or fabulous? It hasn’t had much of an opportunity to answer that question this season. The mystery will almost certainly be solved after today’s big showdown with North Carolina at Kenan Stadium. Tech’s defensive backs face their toughest assignment to date — possibly the toughest they’ll face all year — in the Tar Heels’ dangerous wide receiver combo of Brandon Tate and Hakeem Nicks.
