Freshman Tyler Nickel scored eight points in less than eight minutes (7:48), his first points as a Tar Heel. Leaky Black shot a career-best 6 for 6 from the floor and finished the game with 15 points. Armando Bacot scored 27 of his game-high 28 points in the second half. Caleb Love had 25 points, a career-high nine rebounds, and a team-high six assists.
