Tar Heels do not know who will be their starting quarterback against Hurricanes

Quarterback ' status for North Carolina's game at Miami on Saturday was still unknown late yesterday afternoon, one day after he was injured in a 20-17 loss to Virginia Tech. Yates suffered a sprained left ankle with a little more than nine minutes left in the third quarter when sacked for an 18-yard loss. He did not play in the final 23:53.
