Tar Heels do not know who will be their starting quarterback against Hurricanes

Quarterback T.J. Yates' status for North Carolina's game at Miami on Saturday was still unknown late yesterday afternoon, one day after he was injured in a 20-17 loss to Virginia Tech. Yates suffered a sprained left ankle with a little more than nine minutes left in the third quarter when sacked for an 18-yard loss. He did not play in the final 23:53. He had difficulty walking after the injury and limped off the field at Kenan Stadium.
