Running game deserts Tar Heels
Posted Sep 22, 2008
North Carolina struggled with its running game in a 20-17 loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday. The Tar Heels ran 32 times for 103 yards, with a big chunk of those coming on Greg Little's 50-yard touchdown run. Little never got uncorked except for the touchdown, carrying the ball 18 times for 71 yards. Take away the 50-yard scoring bolt and the starting tailback gained 21 yards.
