News & Notes from Mack Brown’s Press Conference to Begin NC State Week

Mack Brown said when Elijah Green broke the 80-yard touchdown run on the UNC offense’s first play against Georgia Tech, he instructed coaches and players to start over mentally and treat the score as if it was still 0-0. Brown reiterated his long-held distrust of big-play scores early in games and their tendency on occasion to create a false sense of security.
