Freshmen Seth Trimble and Tyler Nickel took the most advantage of their opportunities against Virginia Tech. "Defensively, they competed," Hubert Davis said. "It didn’t matter who they were guarding. And then on the offensive end, they took care of the basketball, were in the right spots, and were definitive in all their moves. I thought they were fantastic."
