Daniel Bard to compete in World Baseball Classic


Former UNC pitcher will take the mound for Team USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic. Bard will be used as a relief pitcher, continuing his amazing comeback story. Bard finished last season with a 6-4 record and a 1.79 ERA. He appeared in 57 games, pitching 60 innings with 34 saves in 37 opportunities for the Rockies. (USA Today)
