UNC’s Tyler Nickel to Have High School Jersey Number Retired


has been out of high school for less than a year, but his alma mater is already planning to honor the UNC freshman wing. East Rockingham High School in Elkton, VA, announced they will retire Nickel’s No. 5 jersey on Thursday. Nickel is the highest-scoring player in the history of the Virginia High School League with 2,909 career points. (Chapelboro.com)
