It’s been a while since North Carolina has defeated a Division I-A opponent without putting together a strong performance for 60 minutes. But that’s exactly what happened on Saturday as the Tar Heels survived a woeful first quarter to knock off Miami. “Fortunately, we didn’t get knocked out in the first quarter,” head coach Butch Davis told reporters during his Sunday evening teleconference.
