The Tar Heels defeated the Demon Deacons 88-79 in ACC basketball Wednesday at the Smith Center, riding a second-half wave to victory. R.J. Davis delivered 27 points, pouring in 22 during the second half. Armando Bacot suppled 21 points, Leaky Black reached a career-high 18 points and freshman Seth Trimble added a season-high 11 points.
