Former UNC defensive back Dontae Balfour transfers to Charlotte

Dontae Balfour signed with the UNC football program in 2021 and appeared in two games as a true freshman (Georgia State and Wofford). Balfour began the 2022 season by starting and playing 60 snaps in the season opener against Florida A&M, recording six tackles. However, Balfour would not play a single snap on defense for the rest of the season.
