In the first 10 games of this season, the University of North Carolina had sort of overcome itself historically. The Tar Heels have had plenty of close calls in their history and even in the Mack Brown era, and had often fallen just short. Brown has talked frequently about the team learning how to win those types of games. And early on, they did.
