The Tar Heels fell into a tie for sixth place in the ACC standings with Duke and have lost the ACC Tournament tiebreaker to Pitt, who are currently in third place at 9-3. That’s with UNC playing the second-easiest conference schedule to date. The good news is that the Tar Heels will have ample opportunity to boost their resume over the final five weeks.
