Tar Heels take poll position

North Carolina is back on the national scene in college football. The Tar Heels (4-1) are ranked for the first time in nearly seven years, holding the No. 22 position in The Associated Press poll released Sunday. "It truly doesn't matter. The season is not over," coach said after Sunday's practice. "We clearly haven't accomplished the goals that we set out at the beginning of the season. I don't think they give any trophies for a Week 5 ranking." (Burlington Times News)
