This was nothing resembling a work of art from North Carolina, but with its season hanging in the balance, the Tar Heels scratched out a much-needed, slump-stopping victory. UNC defeated Notre Dame 63-59 on Wednesday, overcoming an offensive struggle against one of the teams stuck in the ACC cellar to halt a skid of five losses in six games. (Inside Carolina)
