Marcus Ginyard out eight weeks after surgery on left foot
Posted Oct 8, 2008
Marcus Ginyard had surgery this morning at UNC Hospitals to correct a stress fracture in his left foot, and is expected to be out of action for approximately eight weeks. Doctors inserted a screw in his fifth left metatarsal. Ginyard was bothered by the foot last year. He was in and out of a walking boot during the season, but was able to play through the pain. However, an ankle sprain Ginyard sustained in August exacerbated the stress fracture
