Posted Oct 9, 2008
Marcus Ginyard could miss the first three weeks of UNC's basketball season after undergoing surgery in Chapel Hill yesterday to repair a stress fracture in his left foot. Ginyard is expected to be sidelined for about eight weeks. If Ginyard needs the full eight weeks to recover, he could return by Dec. 3, when North Carolina will play Michigan State in Detroit in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge series.
