It would be arrogant for North Carolina to decline a NIT bid. It's bad form, in my opinion. "Who are you to think that you don't belong and you shouldn't play the NIT?" Roy Williams drug his team into the NIT in 2010 and the Tar Heels played it in 2002-03. And yeah, it wasn't great, but some of those crowds in the Smith Center were pretty amazing. (Inside Carolina)
