UNC Linebacker Malaki Hamrick to Miss 2023 Football Season

North Carolina sophomore defender Malaki Hamrick will miss the 2023 season with what head coach Mack Brown described on Tuesday as a non-contact lower-body injury that will require surgery. Hamrick, a 6-2.5, 220-pound native of Shelby, N.C., played in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2022, playing at UNC's jack position, which is an edge rusher.
