North Carolina transfer has committed to Virginia Tech. Nickel averaged 2.1 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.3 assists during his lone season with the Tar Heels. He appeared in a total of 25 games this season, averaging only six minutes per outing. "It’s a great situation for me individually as well as being part of a team that can win a lot of games."
