Boston College Transfer Maria Gakdeng Commits To UNC Women's Basketball

Maria Gakdeng, a 6-3 post player, will transfer to North Carolina and join the women's basketball team ahead of the 2023-24 season. Gakdeng, from Lanham, Maryland, has been a part of the starting lineup at Boston College for the past two seasons. She averaged 11.3 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Eagles in 2022-23, shooting .578 from the floor.
