UNC's 1998 matchup against Florida State in Chapel Hill is one of the all-time quintessential classic Carolina beatdowns. Florida State was not a bad team, mind you. In their first season under Steve Robinson (a long-time Roy Williams assistant at both Kansas and UNC), the Seminoles lacked the star power of Pat Kennedy’s early ACC groups.
