UNC third baseman Mac Horvath was named NCBWA Dick Howser Trophy National Hitter of the Week after eye-popping performances. A native of Rochester, Minn., Horvath led North Carolina to a 3-1 week that culminated with a doubleheader sweep of Virginia Tech. He batted .563 with a 2.181 OPS, belting five home runs and driving in an astounding 19 runs.
