“Play Hard, Play Smart, Play Together.” That was Dean Smith’s coaching philosophy, and while “The Carolina Way” extends beyond the court, that mantra is a good distillation of what Tar Heel basketball represents to so many people. Each Friday, we’ll select a handful of plays (or sequences) that feature at least one component of Coach Smith’s philosophy.
