Quarterback Michael Merdinger committed to UNC Football on Sunday. offensive coordinator/QB coach Chip Lindsey visited Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons High to check out Merdinger earlier this spring. That led to Merdinger visiting Chapel Hill on Friday. There, the Tar Heels offered.
