Former UNC defensive back Terry Shankle named head football coach at South Stanly High School


South Stanly announced Thursday the hiring of a new football coach. South Athletic Director Sean Whitley says has been hired. Shankle, a Norwood native and a 2009 graduate of South Stanly, attended UNC where he was a starter at defensive back. He has been an assistant coach at Northwoods, Anson and Eastern Randolph high schools. (Stanly News & Press)
