Butch Davis happy for Connor Barth
Posted Oct 23, 2008
Butch Davis was "thrilled" to hear former North Carolina kicker Connor Barth has signed a two-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. "That's awesome," the Tar Heels' coach said. "I felt like Kansas City was a great situation because I felt like they would give a rookie kicker an opportunity. He battled. In all fairness, at some point, it looked like he actually outkicked the other guy during the preseason, but you can understand wanting to go with a veteran guy."
