Tar Heels QB T.J. Yates hopes to return
Posted Oct 24, 2008
The weekend will mark five weeks since T.J. Yates, a sophomore who set the school record for single-season passing yards last year, fractured his left ankle while taking a sack against Virginia Tech. At the six-week mark – UNC's open date – he'll undergo more tests to see if the bone has fully healed. If it has, he can likely return to practice, although neither he nor his coaches have pinpointed a game for his return.
