Possibly the most infamous call in ACC history took place in UNC’s 1975 ACC Tournament quarterfinal game against last-place Wake Forest. The Tar Heels’ 101-100 overtime win in the Greensboro Coliseum propelled them to the ACC championship over David Thompson and N.C. State, an outcome among the most important of Dean Smith’s career.
