Heels bowl over No. 23 BC


and UNC's secondary wouldn't let UNC lose two straight games for the first time this season. Nicks scored four touchdowns and the Tar Heels had three interceptions, the third a pick-six by to throttle No. 23 Boston College, 45-24. The win makes the Tar Heels (6-2) bowl eligible with four games left in the season. The Heels' last bowl trip was in 2004, a 37-24 loss to Boston College, then a Big East member, in the Tire Bowl.
