Coach Butch Davis of North Carolina said last night that he does not expect that quarterback T.J. Yates will return to full practice next week in his recovery from a broken left ankle. North Carolina, 6-2, will not play again until Nov. 8 against Georgia Tech in Chapel Hill. Yates was injured on Sept. 20 and his projected recovery time was a minimum of six weeks. The sixth week will end on Nov. 1.
