1. North Carolina 2006. The 2006 UNC baseball team came as close as you can possibly come to winning the national championship without actually winning it. The Tar Heels (54-15) finished as the national runner-up to the Oregon State Beavers, despite sporting a roster highlighted by future Major Leaguers Andrew Miller, Daniel Bard and Tim Federowicz.
