Alex White, Matt Harvey Shine In Fall World Series Opener

UNC's highly-touted right-handers Alex White and Matt Harvey were dominant in Tuesday's opening game of the annual Fall World Series, which White's White squad won by a 1-0 margin in seven innings at Cary's USA Baseball National Training Complex. White worked 5 2/3 shutout innings and struck out seven, while allowing just two hits and two walks. Logan Munson and Jimmy Messer combined for 1 1/3 shutout innings of relief with Messer earning the save.
