Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich Pays Tribute to Dean Smith at Hall of Fame Enshrinement

"When I was at North Carolina, I watched Coach Smith. That is where I learned to keep in touch with people," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said of Dean Smith. "He kept track of everybody: players, friends, acquaintances. He'd write handwritten notes to everybody. He wanted to find out how they are doing and how their kids are. I picked that up from him."
