From GOAT to coach, UNC's Erin Matson ready to lead program after decorated playing career

Posted Aug 15, 2023
Replacing the winningest field hockey coach in NCAA history isn't easy, but Erin Matson is a legend in her own right. As a player from 2018-22 she won four national titles, was a 5-time All-American, 5-time ACC player of the year, and 3-time Honda Sport Award winner. She's the best player in UNC history and arguably the best American college player ever. (WRAL Sports Fan)
