Heels have some time to heal

The University of North Carolina football team did not play on Saturday. The Tar Heels had a welcomed open date. Battered somewhat and bruised in all but the win-loss column, the Tar Heels needed some time to heal their bodies and rest their minds, bracing for what could be a special stretch run in a season that has already been a roaring success. "This week is a good time for our football team to have an open date," UNC coach Butch Davis said.
