Drake Maye will leave footprint on UNC football record book

Drake Maye is one of the top quarterbacks in modern North Carolina history. Too good to leave Chapel Hill with many school records because if he leaves for the NFL, as widely expected, he’ll play only 2 full seasons for the Tar Heels. A 6-foot-4 native of Huntersville, N.C., the 2022 ACC Player of the Year looks like a prototype NFL quarterback.
