Ga. Tech top lineman could be lost for year

Georgia Tech left tackle Andrew Gardner has a torn labrum in his left shoulder and is considering season-ending surgery, coach Paul Johnson said. Gardner, Tech’s best offensive lineman, was not at practice Monday because he was getting another opinion on his shoulder. “He’s decided, I think, that he wants to go on and have surgery,” Johnson said after Monday’s practice, adding that he’ll know more today. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
