Deon Thompson finds room in the post

Defending National Player of the Year Tyler Hansbrough watched from the sideline Sunday as his North Carolina teammates played Vanderbilt in a scrimmage that was closed to observers in keeping with NCAA rules. As strange as that must have been for the senior forward -- who has never missed a college game but is out for at least another 10 days because of a "stress reaction" in his right shin -- it was doubly so for junior teammate Deon Thompson.
