North Carolina scored early and late and defended all afternoon to earn a 2-0 win over No. 4 Louisville Friday in the ACC field hockey opener for both teams (Highlights). With more than 100 program alumnae in the stands to celebrate Alumni Day, the Tar Heels got goals from senior Kiersten Thomassey and freshman Charly Bruder to notch the victory.
