Texas Tech, UNC coaches seem unlikely to leave

Two high-profile college coaches mentioned as a possible replacement for Tennessee's Phillip Fulmer are being courted to stay where they're at now. No. 2 Texas Tech was proactive Tuesday in its desire to retain Mike Leach as coach, with Athletics Director Gerald Myers saying the school will renegotiate his contract as soon as the regular season ends. Meanwhile, North Carolina Coach spoke to reporters after practice and said he is committed to building his No. 19 program. (Nashville Tennessean)
