Crazy rumors keep popping up about UT job

I got a call from a reporter who was checking on Tar Heels coach Butch Davis. The reporter asked me how I knew that Tennessee had contacted Davis. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about. The reporter informed me that I had said Davis and UT athletics director Mike Hamilton already had met. Having said no such thing, I asked where the reporter came up with that idea? His response: "It was on the Internet." Sure enough, he directed me to a message board that said I had made the statement on a Nashville radio talk show. (Jackson Sun)
