North Carolina RB George Pettaway To Redshirt

UNC running back George Pettaway will sit out the remainder of the 2023 season and redshirt, coach Mack Brown announced on Monday. The sophomore from Suffolk, Va. has seen limited action at running back this year -- two snaps and no carries -- amid a crowded backfield of which Omarion Hampton and British Brooks are getting most of the carries.
