Davis and Johnson make quick impact in ACC

Nobody expected it to happen this fast. Nobody, maybe, except Butch Davis and Paul Johnson who in a very brief time on the job have turned the programs at North Carolina and Georgia Tech into ACC contenders. Both were recognized for their efforts earlier this week by being included on the watch list for the 2008 Paul “Bear’’ Bryant Award given annually to the college football coach of the year.
