New plaque at UNC honors Navy Pre-Flight School


Nicknamed “Little Annapolis,” the Chapel Hill pre-flight school hosted a trove of prominent cadets. Three future presidents participated in the program - Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan. Several famous sports figures passed through the program, including Ted Williams, Tar Heel football great , and Paul “Bear” Bryant. (UNC.edu)
