In an Urbanizing Landscape, Local Murals Capture Chapel Hill’s Spirit

Coined as “Chapel Hill’s Legendary Bar,” the iconic He’s Not Here is one of the most historic places on Franklin Street. The bar has rich stories of how it got its name, including one involving star alum , but it has another story on the bar’s backside: the “Greetings from Chapel Hill” mural. The original artwork was a 1941 postcard. (Chapelboro.com)
